Günther Gast heads the Public Law and Public Procurement Law practice group. He specialises in advising on complex public procurement procedures and preparing expert opinions and contracts for various projects. Many well-known public clients are among his regular clients. He also advises and represents clients in construction (defect) litigation, additional costs in construction projects and disputes arising from contractual relationships. His legal work is rounded off by advising and representing clients in reorganisations, such as the interim takeover of the management of Air Alps Aviation and its liquidation.

He studied at the Universities of Vienna and Innsbruck and completed a postgraduate programme in international law at Bond University in Australia. He has been a partner at CHG since 2007.

His dissertation on legal protection in public procurement procedures has resulted in numerous publications in the field of public procurement law. Günther Gast regularly gives lectures and seminars in this field. He is one of the leading public procurement law experts in Austria.
