Your path to becoming an attorney

Law studies

  • Court practice (currently 7 months)
  • Relevant professional activity
    • 3 years in an Austrian law firm as an associate
    • 17 months of substitute periods (for lawyers or other legal work such as administrative internships, etc.)
  • 42 training half-days
  • Bar exam according to the Attorney Examination Act RAPG
    • 3-day written exam (criminal, civil and administrative law)
    • 4 hours of oral examination (in pairs before a panel of 4)

 

Career as an associate at CHG

Despite the opportunity to specialise, we offer you a broad range of training so that you are optimally prepared for the bar exam. As part of our team, you will take on responsibility right from the start and have contact with clients from the very beginning.

What qualifications should you have?

  • Jurist with enthusiasm, motivation and an affinity for commercial law
  • Ability to work responsibly, accurately and independently
  • Strong communication skills, social skills and enthusiasm for teamwork
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office, knowledge of ADVOKAT an advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of German and good knowledge of English

Internship

4 Weeks, 4 Practice Groups

We offer our summer internship with the title “4 weeks, 4 practice groups” so that students of law or business law can gain an insight into our 4 practice groups Corporate Law, Public Commercial Law and Public Procurement Law, Real Estate Law, Business Law / Commercial Law for one week each. The internships are quite flexible. Trainees have the opportunity to work with us, prepare pleadings and attend court. The application deadline is always the end of February for the following summer.
